  36. My point was not that single framing is dead, but that the trend is away from 
  37. it.  I don't expect it to be the rage next year any more than I expect the 
  38. Amiga to be revived in anything like full glory.  Few non-linear systems can 
  39. beat Beta SP right now.  But they are getting better.  How close will the 
  40. Perception be (it is part of the trend)?  The point of the comparison was that 
  41. there are fairly predictable trends in both cases.  I did not say that single 
  42. framing was useless or even a poor way to go to tape.  I also did not say that 
  43. Amigas were useless or necessarily poor choices as computers.  I was merely 
  44. saying that there is a predictable trend away from each.

  46. I read the posts as well.  ESCOM may be a great company with great vision.  
  47. But face it.  They have great problems to overcome.  I was sincere when I said 
  48. that I'd love the original poster to be able to legitimately say "I told you 
  49. so."  I just don't think it is a reasonable expectation.
